Under a sunny sky at Papago Park, opening ritual was led by Shelley with Victoria, Skye, Caria and Oschun assisting.
With Linda narrating, Caria offered us Freyja the Lover. Beth presented Freyja the Warrior with Hilary and Joye dancing as Valkyries on a battle field. Tabitha spoke as Freyja the Seer and Victoria entertained us with a spinning wheel dance.
Delphy had prepared bind-runes for us to craft with amber, malachite, moonstone and jet. Kerri led us in a craft using wheat, braided ribbons and symbols of Freyja (apple, boar and falcon.)
Sherry talked about shamanic journeys and with drumming guided us in two. We were given mandalas and paper to record our impressions.
We shared a hearty dinner of stew, wholegrain breads and cherry cobbler.
Shelley closed our ritual circle and Joan led a spiral dance.
The Freyja event was attended by generous, supportive Goddess womyn. With ticket sales, fundraisers and a silent auction, our donation to Sojourner Center is $800.
